Sarah Khan was born in a middle-class family in Medina of Saudi Arabia. Her mother is Lebanese and her father is Pakistani. She was inclined towards acting from a young age. At the University of Karachi, she completed her study and then started her journey when she was 20 years old. Her sister Noor Khan is also a famous actress in the same industry.

After her first work, she appeared in the drama Mirat Ul Uroos, which was telecasted on Geo TV in 2012.
