Early life
In June, 28 1971, Musk was born in Pretoria, South Africa. Musk was so engrossed in his daydreams about inventions as a child that his parents and physicians demanded a hearing test. Elon Musk started his business in Zip2 Corporation. Zip2 Corporation was formed in 1995 by Elon Musk and his brother Kimbal Musk. Elon Musk implemented the direction codes in Java for Zip2 Corporation, a web software firm that produced and marketed an Internet city guide for newspapers, maps, directions, and so on. The New York Times as well as the Chicago Tribune both offered him contracts. Compaq bought Zip2 Corporation for 307 million dollars in cash in February 1999.
Elon Musk used the money to co-found ‘X.com,’ online financial service and email payment company. In 2000, X.com joined with Cofinity, an American software business that offered the PayPal money transfer service. The corporation was renamed Paypal in 2001.
