Lake Caroline Siegel Bell is an American director, actress & screenwriter. ‘Dr. Cat Black’ in the web-to-TV series ‘Children’s Hospital’ is her most well-known role. ‘LUNAFEST’ named Bell one of the ‘Inspiring Filmmakers’ of 2012 for her maiden effort as a writer and director, ‘Worst Enemy.’ Bell is also a vocalist who’s been in popular animated films like ‘The Secret Life of Pets,’ as well as lending her voice to one of the characters in the action-adventure video game ‘Prototype.’

Early life
Lake Bell, an entrepreneur, was born in New York City on March 24, 1979, to design firm owner Robin Bell and real estate entrepreneur Harvey Siegel. Luke Bell Siegel, her older brother, owns the company Raydoor,’ which manufactures sliding walls and doors.
Bell went to Manhattan’s ‘The Chapin School and Simsbury, Connecticut’s ‘Westminster School.’ When Bell was a teenager, her family relocated to Vero Beach, Florida. She went to ‘Saint Edwards School,’ a college preparatory school in Vero Beach.
Before transferring to ‘ Rose Bruford College ‘ in London, Bell studied drama at ‘Skidmore College’ in Saratoga Springs, New York. ‘The Seagull,’ ‘The Children’s Hour,’ ‘Six Degrees of Separation,’ and ‘Light Shining in Buckinghamshire’ were among the theatre works she appeared in London. Career
Bell starred as ‘Sara Marnikov’ in the film ‘Speakeasy’ in 2002, which was based on the documentary series ‘Project Greenlight,’ which depicted the struggles of first-time filmmakers and provided them with resources to make their goals a reality. In the same year, Lake Bell made her television debut with a two-episode role on one of the popular TV shows ‘ER.’
Bell had a brief part in Adam Goldberg’s psychological thriller ‘I Loved Your Work’ in 2003. Her first significant role was as the female lead in the made-for-TV film ‘War Stories with Jeff Goldblum (2003).

Personal life
On June 1, 2013, Lake Bell married artist Scott Campbell in the ‘Marigny Opera House’ in New Orleans, Louisiana. Campbell met with Lake Bell on the set of ‘How to Make It in America’ in 2011. After dating Lake Bell for a few months, the couple got engaged on Bell’s birthday in March 2012. After a 14-month engagement, they finally tied the knot.
Nova Campbell, Bell’s daughter, was born in October 2014. In May 2017, the Bell’s couple welcomed their second child, a son named Ozzi.
